Level 5: Human Scan Update 1

What we learned from our previous results, is that a human scan is much more complicated and difficult than an object. Well, who could have imagined?

Jokes aside, human skin a much more complex to record while 3D scanning. The scanner was able to capture even small scars on phase, but unfortunately, the quality was not as we expected. We needed to add a different approach to our engine and apply more parameters than the ones used for object scanning.

Moreover, the scanning results were significantly better when we reduced the size of the model we planned to scan. We wanted to emphasize the facial features, that we asked the model to wear a hoodie and simplify the scanning information.

We are very pleased with the current results. We plan to extend the scanning size and obtain a more complex scan soon.
