"Poisonous Wastelands"

A typical wasteland is by itself a harsh and extreme environment, being very unwelcoming and dangerous for every non-native creature. Adding poisonous clouds and flora transforms the scenery into a deadly trap. Poisonous Wastelands inhabit Unguibus Venenosis, known as "Claws of death". This extraordinary plant needs little water to sustain itself and absorbs nutrients from its surroundings. It releases poisonous clouds and neurons which can cause immediate death to other plants or small creatures, or illusions and paralysis to larger mammals. "Claws of death" life spawn is characterized by circles, lasting from 7 to 12 months. At the end of each circle, the claws on the top die, and a new bulb grows over it, but its flower can evolve only in two hours.

Claws include a system of neurons that can detect other living organisms around, reaching a maximum of 4 meters of distance. Once the organism is infected by the poison and dies, it either gets paralyzed, roots spread, and covers it, sucking away its nutrients.

In rare cases, the plant can strike using its claws to inflict immediate paralysis to its target, but this leads to a shorter life-circle.

Unguibus Venenosis, nature makes it hostile even to its own kind, the fact that justifies its deadly character.
