Level 3: Bigger Objects- Engine Upgrade

Our previous attempts already gave us a positive outcome and urged our team to improve.

We faced a plastic-like result from our previous results. In order to solve this, we improved the lighting conditions and the texture analysis of our engine.

We needed to deal with the reflective surface of the mannequin. We managed to solve this, by applying non-static lighting, but rather a dynamic one, during the process of the scan. We also made sure to limit our scanning model to a reflection-free environment, in order to avoid indirect light sources from the scanning environment.

The previous step helped a lot to improve the texture quality but was not enough. We used a parallel color channel in order to adjust the texture input while scanning.

With the implementation of the above, and with many testing in the process, we ended up in the current result, which is much more satisfying than the previous one.
